Roll of the Dice

This is me here shaking in my boots! I can't believe I took the sketch challenge over at JustRite Stamps. I only have one set which I just received last week.
I feel the competition there is tough, but I'm going in with a card I hope is up to the competition. It's a masculine card like no other because it has bling!
I'm hoping it looks like masculine bling.
I've made cards for my husband in the past and they just look plain next to my layered up and some what blinged up cards. Besides he likes bling of the manly type, he actually wears more jewelry than I do! That's because I wear none LOL
My husband and I will be married for 23 years in a few days. I never really thought I would get married again after my first marriage went south after 14 years. Here we are 23 years later, years filled with compromise, support, ups, downs and great losses on both our sides.
I'm still really glad to have him in my corner!
OK details of the card: The base is Gina K designs PL Black Onyx, the dp is Roll the Dice from Recollections, Garage Sale collection.
I stamped my JustRite Stitched with Love in Memento Black twice once on Gina K's PL Ivory then again on her PL Kraft. I cut out the one on the Kraft distressed it with wrinkles and some Tim Holtz distressing Antique Linen. Sparkled up the needle with Spica pen. On the Ivory layer I made little scores at the corners for extra dimension and sponged them with TH distressed Dried Marigold. I distressed all sides of both the Ivory layer and the Black Onyx mat. The sketch I was to follow also included a ribbon. I took my ribbon and made a mans tie out of it. It's a bit hard too see the knot. Then I added the embellishment I altered from Soft Spoken.
Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my personal jargon, LOL.
Have a really great day!
Colleen

I heard the splash when you jumped in. WTG! Very cool card. Happy Anniversary to both of you. It's a shame the younger ones can't figure out the love and compromise part, huh?
