Little Boys' Dreams & Trains

Hi, Finally I did this one! I don't know what got into me this weekend but it sure wasn't my mojo.
I had problems with this challenge from the time I read it.
Joan really gave us a challenge this time around!
Color - Orange, Green and Blue
Embellishment - Printed Ribbon and something hanging
3 different prints - can include ribbon print
Distress with ink
I was pulling scraps of paper out from Friday to Sunday Morning. Finally I just decided I will wait until Monday morning, I really do best in the morning. It really didn't all come together until I found this sweet blue gingham paper. I had the orange plaid and green stripe out already. I had about five different printed ribbons out and assorted other DP in green and orange. This morning I cleared my desk and pulled these three DP's and Gina's PL Creme de Menthe card stock out. I put all the ribbons back except the train one. This is what I came up with.
For the Stamped images I used Melaine's Wee Tees and Theresa's train from Life is Good All Gina K illustrator's. I distressed the train picture with Marvy blue and some Vintage Photo by Tim Holtz. My hanging charm is a little blue heart. I know everything is there because I counted twice:) After my nightmares of course.
Thanks for looking and I hope to be back with another post today as I don't go into work until 3:30 pm.

It turned out really cute after all you went through!!! Sometimes you just have to wait for that moment when a great idea "hits you" -- I know I'm totally that way. I envy the people who just have cards vying for attention in their head all the time and anxious to find the time to put them "in print", because I do not have that "problem"!!! LOL!

Colleen, I am sorry you struggled with this card, but it was all worth it because it is adorable. If you only knew how many times I have to change things, but this is what creativity is all about! I will try and make it easier this week. (smile)

Thanks so much for playing Joan's Gardens #15 weekly Challenge. I know it makes you happy when you accomplish it!!!
