Prom Night!
Hi everyone! Another entry for Soul-Scrappers. This one is for a sketch challenge. I've included a copy of the sketch.
I didn't have the exact shape of paper used on the left of the layout so I had to improvise as this is an endeavor to use up some supplies not create a larger inventory. LOL
This was my daughter Valerie's Senior Prom, her date Paul was her long standing boyfriend since freshman year. Everyone thought they would be married some day including them. Paul was in the Marines when she had her fatal accident. When the Red Cross contacted him for us, he was finishing up his last test for basic training and could not get away(as they had not married yet). His parents came in his place and he came home as soon as possible. He left the Marines shortly after.
He is now married to a young lady, who my daughter's best friend says reminds her of Valerie in so many ways.
Thanks for letting me share. I've wanted to do this page for a long time. Great sketch don't ya think.
I will be back in a few hours with a card
Have a wonderful day.
Colleen
