Creative in different Way!

I know I haven't been around for a bit, I will catch up with everything I missed I promise :) This has been one of the rare times when Bob has been home for two 3 day weekends in row. With the weather getting better and all we have been spending some time with our horses and some of the other hobbies we have. It has really been nice not being alone. I'm still working a lot more hours during the week than I would want to, but I can finally see my way to perhaps purchasing some paper and maybe even some new stamps shortly. So I guess there is an upside to all of this.
Speaking of hobbies, we enjoy gardening but not the bugs! Especially the bees :) ! On one of our road trips we stopped in the local Nursery and saw some Fairy gardens they were making. You all know I love vintage and Bob has a passion for Fairies. I'm not really sure why but he does.
So I need to make a Fairy garden. They had some really expensive stuff for the boxes or planters and even more expensive Fairy cottages. I knew I could make it cheaper so it was off to Wal-Mart. I found a Rubbermaid container for $5.00 and the planting mix for $5.00 Saving so far is $26.00. We happen to have a boat load of Department 56 houses since we down sized our home years ago they haven't been out of the boxes! I chose this one for our garden and the little girl was a mother's day gift from my daughter that was put away for safe keeping. The Fairy was outside in a window box. The only things I purchased were the plants, the ledge and the gazebo.
Here are some close ups. If you want to see.
I'm off the early morning so I can catch up with all the blogs then.
Have a wonderful day!
Colleen
