Over at Soul-Scrappers they have a contest where one of the team members sends "stuff" to members and they need to use as many of the items as possible on their project. When I received mine in the mail ........
Wow Deb gave us such fabulous items to work with. :) I have to admit I was a bit thrown by the Quote. " In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers and the dreams are as beautiful." When I first read it I immediately though of a baby or child's picture where the eyes were deep in thought or sleeping. Then I started thinking about garden pictures. Since it still like winter here in Wisconsin, garden pictures were out(although I have a few from years past). So I set out to find my baby/child picture.
Since Elizabeth has the fewest pages in her book, this picture was it! Here parents took this picture just after she was fed.
As for my trinkets, I used them all each and every bit. I only added the 12X12 dp, the picture and a small amount of white ribbon to tie to the paperclip hiding the glue dot.
Here is my list: 2 Buttons I used the butterfly on the upper right corner and the flower button on the chipboard piece upper left.
1 chipboard piece, painted and used as a leaf under the button upper left.
1 Quote right middle of the page
1 group of stickers= 2 leaves and 3 flowers the leaves and two of the flowers are in the bottom right colored with copics. the third flower is in the middle of the ribbon flower on the lower left also colored with copics.
1 Doily upper left as part of my mats
2 4X4 papers upper middle and right as part of my mats
2 ribbons I made a rolled flower from one lower left and the other I ruched to make a stem and I used the left over to make a bow and an accent tag by the quote.
1 paperclip used on bottom right of the picture to hang the watering can.
4 rhinestones used to make a butterfly trail underneath the button.
1 watering can picture used on the picture hung to water the flowers.
1 fabric flower used as corner accent on the picture upper right side.
This was my very first time playing this, it was sooooo much fun I can't wait to do this again!
I hope you have a wonderful day, I have to work but I'm going to try and get Joan's card in before I go.
