Not Just a Card

Some of my blogging friends know I've been working on this all week. I've finally finished and I'm so happy with it.
You see I've had on going conversations with my son this week and last about how he is trying to make the room he rents with his 4 little ones feel like Christmas. He has gone through some stuff he had in storage and come up with a few things. We will be taking a tree and some other stuff there on Saturday.
My son rarely gets any of my cards, I usually make something child related for the kids to give him. This year since I had more time (my other Christmas cards are done) I thought I would make him a special card. I knew exactly what I wanted to make or so I thought LOL. I really don't know where these ideas come from. It went from a special card to a kind of advent calender. I printed off some calendar pages with Christmas images on typing paper punched holes, ran wire through it so the actual calender part is able to be taken down to pull the pages off. As long as I was making something that size, (81/2 by 11) why not do the back with the picture I took of them all so he could flip it and use it as a wall hanging when Christmas is over.

Simple I know, but for a guy?????? What can one do!
Well that is it. I will be taking this to him on Saturday with the tree. When Bob comes home he will drill through all these layers so I can put some fibers through it for hanging.
Happy crafting and hugs.
Colleen

This is such a fabulous idea....love the two sided feature! Men are difficult to create for, but this is just perfect and I am sure he will appreciate your time!
