My Entire Day Off

I'm back as promised. However when you look at the pictures above you can see my plan didn't go so well. LOL
I think I have every ink, sponge, and tool I own all over my desk. Yesterday when I got home from the sale, the puppies were still down so I started a template for my next scene. That would be the top left in the group of 4. That turned out well and I was excited to get busy this morning. My first try this morning is the bottom right picture which I messed up the coloring on the church. I used that one to see what would happen if I used my embossing pen to add some "snow" . That turned out to clumpy. I also didn't like the sky in that one. Try three came in the very bottom picture of this post. I decided to try a night sky with my brayer. When I (thought) I had that figured out, came try number four in the top right of group of 4. Yes I did the sky first and you couldn't see my focal points head or face (rats). Then I decided I really liked the colors of the first one which brings me to try five. I stamped my girl in a lighter red, masked her off and proceeded with stamping the rest of my picture. I started sponging the sky and that was kinda OK. I proceeded to the "grass" I wanted to make it look a bit green with a light blue frost. It ended up looking like she was standing in murky water. I tried to lighten it up with some white, my white is dried out. I figured I couldn't use it anyway so I tried to sponge a bit of Versamark and emboss with my Winter White powder. Now it's time to get the puppies up and I have no card for a whole days work. LOL
I work all day tomorrow and Friday. I'll have a bit of time to clean my desk ........ So when I get home on Saturday or when I'm off on Sunday I'll be a bit more productive. At leased now I know what not to do.
I don't know why blogger keeps messing up my font color, I also don't know how to fix it.
Hugs to you and I hope your days was better than mine.

Colleen, so sorry you didn't get it the way you wanted, been there....had a picture in my head and it just wouldn't come together. We still love you, as Scarlet used to say "There's always tomorrow..." or maybe the weekend, lol. I finally got some things made today, I think my mojo went on vacation and then decided not to come home.
Don't work too hard!
hugs....

Thanks for popping my blog and after you said come see what you've been doing, I just had to! lol I showed your desk to my DH and told him, see we all just have about 2 square feet to work and the rest of the desks/tables are covered with all our stuff! lol I can't wait to see your card when you get it all figured out.... I know it will be beautiful because the elements you have already are awesome. I think the new challenge site will be fun as we create more scenes.
