Can You Guess?
Can you guess what I've been you? That is besides up to my arms in ink and sponges! LOL Well it's Craft A Scene time again. This time the challenge was to achieve a moonlight scene. OMGosh WHITE SPACE????????
That is something I've never done before, my first try was the one with the stars and I thought the size of the stars was not in keeping with the size of the moon, so I scrapped that one. I was stumped, just exactly how does a moon reflect?
What color is it really? It's not yellow as I tried to make it.
You can see I even tried glossy paper. While I admit the glossy paper has a much more dramatic look, I'm not there yet. I need to practice more on that. Maybe I'll come back with a glossy one. For now this is the one I settled on.
I thought it would be cute for any of the kids. I had these stamps from Bugawumps for over a year now and they were never inked so I thought why not, I loved them when I bought them. The set is called Rags to Witches.
The Stampscapes stamps I used are Bush 191A, Curvy Branch271G. The bottom foliage is also a Bugawumps stamp.
I used Marvy Blue inks #60 and#29 and some TH Black Soot. I colored my little guy with colored pencils. I did find out colored pencils do not work on glossy card stock. LOL. Well it's time to get the puppies up. I'm off today so I'll be by later.
Have a great day.
Colleen

I have trouble with glossy too, and found out the hard way, you can't 'color' on it!
Markers work though! then they have to d r y!
Your scene is fabulous Colleen! For not knowing how to achieve moonlight I think you have done a great job! Thats what the challenge blog Craft A Scene is about... challenging ourselves and learning from others!
