Special's For Today

Hi, I'm really liking my new work hours as I have more time to play. I may not feel the same when my check comes though. LOL
This post is for a sketch challenge over at Great Impressions, its a monthly challenge so you still have lots of time to enter and you don't have to use their stamps. But if you do you get a code for 25% off your order and that is great for the budget.
This stamp is one of the reason I found this great site. I saw a sample at
my local stamp store and they didn't have the stamp anymore. So the wonders of the internet I found them and ordered on line. Anyway off the point again. Here is the sketch, one of the DT's Mary had an example of the chalkboard effect that seems to be in right now. I use to use this in scrapbooking all the time for kids art. So I brought it back for this card. I'm hoping this looks like an old diner sign. My dp is from DCWV the Whimsy Stack, I added some TH Peacock Feathers with a brush, distressed the edges and add some TH Rusty Hinge. The chalkboard look was done on DCWV black distressed paper. The image I used is G317S. I added a Hero Arts flower and a few drops.
Tomorrow I do have to work a double so I doubt if I will post.
Thanks for stopping by.
Colleen

Colleen those are the perfect stamps to use for the chalkboard technique!
Love how it turned out! I'm itching to try the technique myself - super take on the sketch too!
