On with the post ........... Over at Paper Artsy they are doing backgrounds and working with stencils, such fun :) two of my very favorite things.
First up was Claire with stencil bumping. She made such a pretty card. I used one of the same stencils she did PS001. I just happen to have the same paints as well Snowflake and Ice Blue my mind started working what can I do with this look. Back in November I was able to purchase some of their Christmas stamps ELB12 and ELB10. I noticed that one of the trees in the ELB10 set was very similar to the look of the stencil, the plan was born.
I used half sheets of 8.5X11 for the background that way I could make two cards at once. I first laid down a coat of Snowflake through the stencil then moving(bumping) the stencil a slight bit I added a coat of Ice Blue. One of the best things about laying down the Snowflake first was the Ice Blue kept is color even on the pink paper. I was thrilled. I'm very new to this paint and wasn't sure. To finish off the card I embossed the tree and sentiment with winter white embossing powder, fussy cut them out backed with a white cardstock mat and placed on a blue card.
I should be back with another post but before I go. I wanted to share a project I did and did not get it up in time for the challenge in November. Wanda made the prettiest journal page using Grunge Paste and sets ELB10 and ELB 12 following her instructions, only I used a half sheet of cardstock and made two Christmas cards.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my creations. Hugs,
Colleen
