Tim Holtz Tags Feb. 2015

Hi, I've had some down time since I just couldn't get it together after my last project. Low mojo maybe or just life getting in the way. I've been looking at Tim's tag almost daily and I have to confess a bag of Ephemera is always last on my list of things to purchase. I really don't know why, I think it something about not having the vision needed to use all the pieces. I had no kids this past weekend and no emergency so I was well rested when I woke up on a cold but bright Monday morning and the light bulb went on I have two of Tim's paper stashes. In these paper stashes Tim provides many different sizes and types of papers so I can make my own ephemera. I set out to pick things that would most resemble his theme which of course was Valentines Day. I searched and searched cut and trimmed until I was satisfied with my picks.
With another collage technique I just couldn't resist. My design is a bit different but I think all the elements are there and I really am proud of how this one came together. I followed his technique instructions including the shadowing. I wasn't able to sew my heart as I had my table with my machine on it fall and a little piece came off. It didn't look good flat so I used my TH mini attacher to gather the heart. All materials used except the felt heart are from Tim's collection. Here is a peek at Tim's tag.

 So how did I do?
