The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Good Morning, I decided to try a new challenge! Over at Artful Inkables
One of my good friends, Patti at Stamp TV is on the DT for Artful Inkables. I really love the images at AI and the cards she comes up with are amazing. So here it goes!
The challenge was to remake a card you did not like the first time you made it. Well, I have
plenty of those from when I first started making cards.
Here is the BAD and UGLY
I made this card about two years ago. I must admit,I knew nothing about the weight of paper, card stock
or how to use what little tools I had. So there I was using a card stock that was not even close to base weight, my layering and sponging were sad, very sad!
Two years later, I've learned soooooo much I hope! I have accumulated a lot more tools and different inks, learned the difference in paper weight and how matting can make the difference! Now for the remake! I hope you like it as much as I do!
I used 80lb card stock instead of 35lb, I added a neutral layer of Ivory, used the same dp only now you can really see the design :) I layered the cameo to repeat the green, used pop dots to give the cameo some dimension as well as the tag. The ink now matches the dp. Used ribbon and pearls as embellishments.
I will still keep my first card to look back at. I'm sure I still have a long way to go in the card making world. Maybe in two years I will be remaking this one!
Have a wonderful, creative day. Hugs :)
