Joan's Garden Challenge

Joan challenged us to make a card using Pink and White with all 4 corners being punched. She asked that we use a Martha Stewart corner punch if possible. I don't have one so I used my Fiskars 4 way punch. I also have an E K Success punch that punches a decorative corner inside the corner. I only have a total of 16 punches in all. Punches are not high on my list as I really to build up my stamp collection and embellishment collection first.
My collection is limited, Joan and her team have introduced me to Justrite and Heartfelt Creation stamps. Since the punches cost almost as much as a stamp set. The stamps need to come first.
Now on to the card: Card base and mini frame is GKD PL Innocent Pink. The white frame and image mat is GKD PL 120# White. The dp is unknown from 12X12 stock. The stamp set is My Sentiments Exactly Romance one of my finds this weekend. It went for $29.00 and I paid only $7.00. The ink is a newly developed one by TPC Studio's called Clearly Better color Blossom. This ink is supposed to be the best mixture for clear stamps and since my new set was clear and I have no pink ink. I decided I would give it a try. The coverage was fantastic and my image stamped crisp. I used some new ribbon on this from American Crafts, this I would not buy again. I found it hard to work with and had to cut off all the extra netting around, what I thought were roses. They only look like roses if you cut them off, trim the netting and squish them together. Good thing I only paid $2.99 for the roll, which I understand is a very good price to get this look. I tried to shabby up the white frame with some Tim Holtz crackle in Worn Lipstick followed by the distressed stickles same color. The small frame was spritzed with Pearl Glimmer Mist and I added a few rhinestones (either not enough or too much??) After the image dried I added a very little bit of TH distressed Vintage Linen, some TH crackle Glass and crystal stickles.
I hope to be back with another post later, with a challenge for Justrite. Thank you Joan and Selma I'm lovin them.
Have a great day,
Colleen
