Hi, today I have a rich romantic card to share. Joan's Garden challenge this week was to use the following;
Color - Deep rich purple
Embellishment - a Spellbinders Pendant - or a punch making a design
Cut out flower that you color
Punched Border
Yes I splurged, but not so much! I got the Spellbinders Pendant with a coupon at Hobby Lobby. So it only cost like $13.00. I was extremely happy, because I really wanted this one for a bit and now I could do the challenge.
I'm a bit punched challenged as some of you may know, they are my least favorite thing to spend money on. The one feminine border punch I had bit the dust about 3 weeks ago, so I improvised the border thing I hope that is OK.
I really wanted to use my HFC stamp that I won here at Joan's as it hasn't seen ink yet. The problem was it really didn't fit right. You all know by now I don't give up that easy so I stamped the stamp on typing paper several different ways. I decided that if I only ink a part of the stamp I could design it to fit. I stamped the image twice, once on my nestie and the second on a scrap piece. Colored both with my copics and cut the three flowers from the scrap piece. I used my micro black liner pen to extend the ribbon lines just a tiny bit, I used the large one as my cut out and popped up flower and the two small ones I added on to the extended ribbons.
My card stock is GKD PL Violet and scrap olive. The image was stamped on GKD PL 120# white. The dp is Webster's Pages also been sitting since my purchase at Joan's. The antique looking bow is Jolee's and was purchased on clearance at Michael's in a package of 12. The pearls, rhinestones and glitter are from my stash and are from various manufactures. I can't forget the little butterfly punch added to the nestie.
I'm soooooo happy to finally be able to use some of my stash I won and purchased from Joan's Garden.
I hope you guys really like this one, because I know I do.

You did a fabulous job with the challenge Colleen. This is gorgeous. That is one of my favorite pendants. Bet you use it a lot.
Beautiful Colleen! Your creative side really shows. How you come up with and put everything together to not only meet the challenge, but come up with something so pretty--well, it's great!!
