Wolf Times Five!

Hi everyone and welcome! Today's post is for Speedy the Cat's challenge #19. The challenge was to make a card and use 5 of something. While I was thinking about this challenge, I had something entirely different in mind. I was going to do a card with 5 pairs of cowgirl boots on it. I found this stamp looking for my boot stamp and it has 5 wolves on it. Sooooooo ...... I decided it would be a great chance to kinda copy my friend Patti. Although her card only has two different colors sponged and she has more images I think I used the same principals. I think I have just a bit too much definition between my sponging (I used two different ink manufactures which didn't blend as well as I hoped) other than that I very pleased with the overall effect. I divided my card in 8th's because I had 8 different ink colors. Then I used low tack tape to tape off an 1/8 inch border. Masked off a moon, started at the bottom with my lightest color green working my way to the top. When I was finished with the sponging I loaded my stamp up with Memento Black made sure it was good and juicy, huffed on it twice, crossed my fingers and pressed really hard. I was so happy to get such a good image! I took the mask off the moon and added a dab of liquid applique, smoothed it around with my finger for overall coverage sprinkled with white glitter and used my heat gun. I purchased this stamp over 3 years ago and this is only the second time I've inked it up :(. The stamp is from Coronado Island Stamps # sj005-k.
That's it for today have to do the work thing, until next time.
Have a happy day.
Colleen
