I decided to try the JustRite challenge again this week. There is so much talent over at that site, along with great prizes. I love the stamps I have however limited they are.
This week the challenge was direct to rubber. They suggested two ways one to use your markers and color the stamp directly or rock and roll your stamp in two different ink pads.
I decided to use the second for two reasons. One I really don't have markers that I can use on these fine lined stamps and I've never done the rock and roll before. I do have a good selection of ink pads so there you have it. For a change of pace and a different look I decided to do a shape card. I used the second and third largest in the Curved Rectangles Spellbinders set. The second largest is my base made from GKD PL Moonlit Fog and the other is my top piece which I also cb using the Swiss Dot folder. My dp is a dreamy piece of Bo-Bunny 12X12 paper which I cut a mat and used the Spellbinders small Fleur De Lis
I then rocked and rolled my saying and border from the JustRite Just A Note set first in Marvy Sky Blue then in Memento London Fog. I used Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles to cut those out. Then I used a large white flower from my stash hit the tips of it with Marvy Sky Blue and sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist. I added my ribbon from Michael's and some small pearls.
Wish me luck, the grand prize is a set of 24 Memento markers, new Birthday Celebrations JustRite stamps and Lacy Spellbinders Circles. Wouldn't that be fun. :) They also have 3 honorable mentions that prize is 4 markers (your choice) and a set of the new Birthday Celebrations. Also a great prize.
I missed one of my scrapbook challenges this week so I'm bummed about that I may do it anyway.
I hope to be back later.
