Girl in the Snow!
Finally! A happy outcome. LOL Some who have stopped by before know what a hard time I had with this one. To make a long story short, I took all my tries in to my local stamp store The Crackerbox Palace. Normally I don't have this much trouble, I just couldn't understand why I was not happy with any of my results. The gals there are fabulous. They will help, give tips, point you in the right direction and explain in detail with examples. My first problem I really have to get over is white space, sometimes it's needed. Second was the ink I was using for my detailed images, not to mention not stopping to clean my stamps between tries. Then I was mixing graphic images with real life images and using the WRONG paper. It turns out not all glossy paper is created equal. So after sleeping on all that for a bit, I felt confident enough to give this one another go.
You can see the inside. Yep, this one is off to New York after Wednesday when I take it back to the shop! Hopefully they will think I was a good student.
I love making scenes and never thought of all the ways it could go wrong until I ran into this one. I was so fixated on the look I was trying to achieve and just couldn't get there.
I used the following stamps Girl in the Snow J02201(Crackerbox Palace) Stampscapes Pine Row 150E, Pathway(number not on stamp) Tree Cluster sm. 266D and a Stanp from a Gina K design's by Asela Hopkins from the set called Christmas Blessing.
I will be entering this in Craft A Scene!
This will probably be it for me today. Off to my grandson's birthday party. Then work at 4am. I'm not really sure how I will feel the rest of the week, besides relieved to have this one done. Maybe now I can get on to others. LOL.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I know a few of you are really having fun.
Colleen
