A Little Country&A Little Rock and Roll

Good morning out there in blog land! Yes I'm wide awake and feel like a kid on Christmas morning! Why you ask ..... Jewelry, no not the store bought kind the homemade kind! I never wear jewelry of any kind, now I can have it for my walls in my craft room. Yes, I am a geek always have been!
OK so what is all the fuss about? Cathy Tidwell over at STV has a blog called Cat's Creations. On Tuesday she showed a picture of a frame for ACT's available at Hobby Lobby($12.99W/coupon only about $7.00). I looked in the online store for a picture and couldn't find one. If you follow the link to Cat's blog she has a picture of the frame(you might have to scroll down).
I've always loved ACT's but never knew what I would do with them. Now thanks to Cat I can adorn my walls with them. How hard is it to display your art in your cards? So you send them out or give them away. But this will be something I can display for inspiration and a pick me up. I intend on doing several frames full(at least 5) they will adorn my walls until they become a keepsake for each of my grandchildren. I know they keep the cards I make them, but they are put away in a box. Cat is doing ACT's every Tuesday on her blog. No challenge or anything just sharing, how fun is that :)
On to how I made this gem ..... I took one of my background stamps(which I hardly ever get to use) stamped a portion of the stamp inked with Memento Rich Coco on my white card stock, embossed with clear powder colored with copics and used my embossing marker to go over the coloring then again eb with clear. Used a scrap piece of dp from my desk to border the side. Inked up my mat with TH Wild Honey spritz with water, bathed the piece in it. Dried it with my heat gun. Ran the bottom through the cb using TH small Music Note folder added some TH Blue Jean Crackle paint. That dried while I was at work. Wrapped the side with twine. Stamped the LG sunflower from the bg stamp and two little crows from a Mark's Finest Papers set call Planted With Love. I fussy cut them out colored the sunflower and added a brad by K&Company and some P.K Glitz glitter in Cinnamon and Lemon Drop. Used pop dot to pop them up. Oh check out the crows eyes ..... Yes aren't those a find they are from my little store in town and are for making fishing lures. I'm telling you those ladies think of everything.
I know this is long but I just had to share my excitement. Don't forget to visit Cat's blog and let her know I sent you.
Hugs
Colleen
