Faux Washi Tape

Did you ever not have the right Washi tape in your stash? Pam of Paper Artsy shows in detail just how to remedy that right here. She did an amazing scrapbook page with her homemade Washi tape. I didn't do mine exactly as she did because I didn't have the right tape or tissue. I used plain masking tape(normally used to cover the center of my art journal pages) stuck it on my craft sheet, lightly sanded it, wiped it down with paper towel add TH Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry paints. It took two coats to get the desired look, once dry I stamped the same design on my tape as my focal image(first one made with Pam's faux Gelli plate tenchique, you can see why I fell in love instantly) added some white pen details. Pulled it off the craft mat and it still stuck to my project. I used it at the top of the tag as banner pieces the bottom of focal card added to paper and cut with punch. Not a good idea the punch stuck and almost ruined it. While I was assembling my tag I found a heart from the punch and stuck it in the middle of the flower. I think this one is going to my eldest grand daughter, who just informed us how well she is doing on making up her work to graduate since she has been living with her dad. She is not only on track but ahead. I'm so proud of her.
That's it for now. I've covered three of the five inspirations for this week, I think I maybe able to do one more. Stay tuned.
Hugs
