Vintage Distressed Christmas Tag

I will be ready this year! OK you are going to say where have I been .... new to me challenge site Simon Says Stamp has both Monday and Wednesday challenges, this started out to be a Wednesday challenge and didn't make it. So I checked Mondays and it calls for vintage looking distressed projects. Most things I do are distressed in some way and I love vintage so it fit perfectly.
The base of the tag is covered with a mixture of TH Vintage Photo and Fire Brick Paint, added some branches with sparkling green eb powder, some crackle images with clear eb powder and snowflakes with TH Picket Fence paint. Once all was dry I distressed the edges. I used an old box to cut one of TH dies for the base of my Santa image colored with TH distressed Fire Brick ink and water brush. The other images are from the same set Mini Holidays CMS066 all stamped in Archival Ink then distressed with several colors of TH inks. I made the ticket using a circle punch halfway into all corners and drew lines adding numbers with Micron pen. My embossing on the Merry Christmas is a mixture of Ranger fine gold and black embossing powder providing that old gold look. Stamped my ribbon with a plaid stamp in Archival Ink and colored my ribbon with watered down TH Crushed Olive. One of TH buckles finishes off the tag.
Thanks for looking and leaving comments.
Hugs
Colleen

Love this one! I too am trying to get a good head start, hope I can keep it up. Love the ticket and especially that you made it all yourself, so creative. The embossing is perfect and of course I am such a softie for these older Santas, my very fave.
Is your snow melting any, I can tell from your comments that you are craving some grass and spring temps.
hugs.....
