Grateful Heart

Here is my submission for Shazza's challenge over at Soul Scrapers. I'm doing tags for these challenges, because I love doing tags and I can easily display them and what better things to display than Philosophy. This months challenge is about having a grateful heart. While I have a ton of things to be grateful for they will not all fit on a tag. So I chose one that is most fitting. Most of the people that know me well, know that I lost my daughter in a black ice car accident. In the summer of that very year only about five months later I met Summer, her full name on her papers is Summer V. J. after my daughter Valerie Jane. She was only 3 months old and the most beautiful, loving and playful thing I had seen in a long time. She really did embody my daughters personality. That is why I pick her to be my most Grateful Heart project. There were other horses there for sale but none like summer. We visited for many days, she cuddled her head on my shoulder. Even though I knew it would be a long time before I could ride her I just had to have her. I've included her 3 month old picture below.
Back to the tag: I first used TH ripe persimmon, spice marmalade and rusty hinge all over the tag added a few water droplets and dried. Then I took a piece of DP tore it to present the white edge then covered it up with rusty hinge. I stamped and embossed in chocolate embossing powder some frilly stamps on the side. Distressed the whole tag and went around the edges with TH forest moss. I found this frame embellishment the other day dug it back out, cut an oval backing. them stamped on scrap some of my stampscapes stamps girl riding and the wire fence in Coffee Archival. Then I stamped the sentiment directly to the DP and embossed with chocolate powder. This is where it started going wrong I couldn't see the sentiment, I tried several ways to bring it out more so much so that the dp started to break down. I was now back to the tag but the sentiment stayed so instead of starting all over I just distressed another part of the tag so it would look like that was my intent. Computer generated statement.
 Here is my baby :)
