Flower Lady

Here we again, I should really be blogging more and I would if life didn't always get in the way.  This project is for a challenge over at Paper Artsy, Paint and Infusions. Infusions are a powder formula that contains various crystals of color plus the powder of walnut which makes them different from the other colored powders on the market which are mostly bright colors or pastels if blotted up in time. As you can see by my project these are vintage distressed kinda colors. I tried to provide a view of them blotted up top left pinkish and not bottom left deep cherry so you can see both. I've also mixed one color with their chalk paint and the color name is also chalk top left. In addition I used straight chalk paint through a stencil(bottom left) so you can see they resist the paint sorta. The walnut still gets through a bit. I colored the lips with the infusions also sprinkle a bit on my mat and spritz with water and brushed them on. I also painted the tag and used infusions on it to make it look rusty didn't work the way I wanted, so I tried the same thing on the bird cage. I'll keep trying that one. I used embossing powder as a resist also.  The MOST amazing thing happened when I painted the lips let it dry and the put matt gel over it, it didn't smear and the gel acted as a resist. when I sprinkled the other color and sprayed with water. If you look close you can see some got through must have missed that spot.
OK so here is my stuff and then I have pics of close ups and my experiment page, because this is the first time I've used these or any powders.
Infusion colors Rusty Car, The Sage, Golden Sands, and Blackcurrant. all Paper Artsy
Paint Colors Copper, Whitefire, and Chalk.
Stencil one small TH and one Paper Artsy PS007
Paper 90lb cold press watercolor
stamp TH
other embellishments asst flowers and TH die.
 NOW FOR THE OTHER PICS

hugs till next time
