Joan's Garden

Hi everyone, today's post is for Joan's Garden challenge.
Easy requirements this time around :) Use the colors orange and blue, Create a card with a spring theme, Use a die cut,Use a circle
For this card I used a stamp I purchased for Joan's big Heartfelt Creation challenge a while back and never was able to play because I was so sick.
After working with this stamp I have wonder why it took so long to ink it up. While the layout is simple, the watering can and gingham ribbon take the stage. I fulfilled the colors, what could be more spring than a water can of posies and gingham ribbon. My die cut and my circle is the smallest circle in my spellbinders set. I made three layers of flowers the first one is flat. The second one is flowers and leaves I cut from my second stamping of the image, on this layer I chose a group of flowers and leaves to cut and used pop dots for the center and shaping glue for the rounded part of the layer. The third layer consists of several flowers fussy cut with petals turned up then I glued the center to the match of the second layer. I colored the whole image with copics trying to get a worn look on the can. I added rhinestones to the center of the flowers. My wonderful gingham ribbon was purchased at Michael's for $1.00 and is wired so I could get the pleated effect.
That's it for today. I need to work on some Scrap projects as I've been getting away from them do to longer work hours. I hope to have some ready to post after work tomorrow. So check back!
Have a great day.
Colleen
