Rooster Tag and ATC
Today I'm sharing two of my latest creations the ATC finishes up my third tray. Both my girl trays are done and one boy one. I must concentrate on my boy trays which are much harder do to the lack of "boy" stuff. I suspect I will still do more girl ones as well, just so the girls can have a bunch to pick from or change them out if they want. The "little" art kinda of keeps me going when I don't have time to do a project and its a great way for me to try new things.
As you know I've been exploring my different avenues of paper art lately, thus my second creation a tag. Close inspection of the tag will show many elements of Mixed-Media art which has become my passion of late. I used stamping, acrylic paint, sprays, distress ink, digital media, stencils, lace, raffia, and some flowers with a brad for the center.
I was really tired of making cards and having them pile up. I really can't tell you when I last made a card I haven't given up on making them. I will still do certain card challenges and can't wait to get back to them.
I also love working in my art journal, this has become a real test for me to create something that large and have enough elements that work. I have yet to create a page that I really like. I hope the next one I'm working on really turns out ..... with that said I have to tell you in advance I'm sorta of copying one I found on YouTube here I hope this link works because her work is amazing. If my pages turn out anything remotely like hers I will be really excited. Until then.
P.S. This Saturday is the stamp show in Madison Wisconsin and Tim Holtz is going to be there. I'm really excited to say the least. I've gone most years and manage to scrape up a bit of money even so we will see what goodies I find this year.
